Sophie Kerr Week 2024 was a resounding success thanks to the combined efforts of the College’s Center for Career Development, English Department, and the American Marketing Association, especially those of our own career advisor Georgina Bliss, the English departments own Dr. Elizabeth O’Connor and professional development director Emily K Bechtel. Many successful individuals made the time to educate students about the importance of literacy skills and how the can be used to market oneself while building life long connections that can advance a young students future. This year we were fortunate enough to sponsor chapter member and published author Natalie Martinaitis, who discussed the process of publishing her book The Post PSO Project. Other memorable speakers included Hollywood screenwriter Elizabeth Chandler and Alumna Cara Koonzt, a Director from Crooked Media.
